Soil Conditioner Attachment

The Bobcat soil conditioner attachment is a versatile, cost-effective tool no landscaping crew should be without. Whether tearing out old sod, grading topsoil, pulverizing dirt clumps or preparing seed/sod beds, you'll appreciate the power and versatility the soil conditioner has to offer.

How It Works

Carbide-tipped teeth on the drum rip through hardpan and pulverize clumps. A rubber flap above the drum keeps larger material from passing through- clumps are ground up and rocks and other debris are windowed to the edge of the jobsite.
Box blade end wings are standard to help move large amounts of material and fill in low spots. Remove the end wings to allow for even distribution of material. The drum rotates in either direction to allow working in forward or reverse.


60-inch and larger models come standard with an oscillating bolster. Oscillation keeps the drum parallel to the ground and helps minimize the effect of bumps and potholes, resulting in a smoother finish in fewer passes. The oscillating bolster combined with hydraulic depth and angle controls also make it very easy to cut swales for drainage and sculpt the land.

60-inch and larger models also come standard with the ability to lock the drum or allow it to float. In the locked position, the soil conditioner acts much like a box blade and will level the surface. In the float position, the drum is able to float over the terrain. The soil conditioner will prep the soil without leveling land that may already have been sculpted.

Choose Your Model

Manual: Available in 48, 60, and 72-inch widths drum rotation is still accomplished with a hydraulic motor but angle and depth control changes are adjusted manually. Angle can be set at 0 or 25 degrees to the left or right. Depth control is adjusted with a turnbuckle system.

Hydraulic Angle and Depth Control: Available in 60, 72, and 84-inch widths. Hydraulic cylinders are added to these models and allow the operator to make infinite adjustments on-the-fly from the cab using finger-tip controls. Angle can be used to help direct spoil whereas depth control can be used to shave off high spots and fill in low spots more quickly.

High-Flow: Available in 72 and 84-inch widths. These models harness the additional horsepower of high-flow hydraulics to provide tremendous torque to the drum. They excel at ripping though the toughest hardpan and richest clay soils. Increased drum torque creates a true powered box blade resulting in a smooth jobsite in fewer passes.
